Detective Kelly Godley
Special Victim's Unit
Middletown Township Police

Kelly Godley is a veteran officer of the Middletown Township Police Department. Hired in 1994 she was the first female officer to join the ranks in Middletown. In 1997 she was transferred from the Patrol Division to Community Relations where she dealt with issues that were not crime related, but community based. There she started the D.A.R.E. Program (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) for 5th grade students to become educated on why and how to say no to drugs. Her work with the youth in the community led her to be transferred to the Detective Bureau in 1999 as a Juvenile Detective. Detective Godley is a currently still in this position; however, it has been appropriately renamed the Special Victim's Unit due to her area of expertise working with victims of Sexual Assault, as well as being the liaison between the schools, families and the police. Detective Godley prides herself on being an advocate for the victims and juveniles that she works so closely with and has a great rapport with school administrators and officials.
