Free Sunday Afternoon  Classical Quartet Concert
at Holmdel Church

Four teenage talented musicians, under the direction of organist Miae Park,
will perform several classical compositions on Sunday, April 26 at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd at 3:00 PM.     

Tommy Choi age 17, on piano, Euihyum 18, on violin, Hyunji Min 16 on viola and Jessica Hong 16. on cello will play selections from Beethoven, Schumann and other classical composers.

The selections will include:
Shumann's Piano Quartet, Op 47 1st mvt.
Beethoven's Piano Sonata Op 31, No 1 3rd mvt.
Bruch's violin concerto No 1 in G minor
Hummel's Potpourri for Viola Op 94 1st mvt.
Dvorak's cello concerto Op 104 1st mvt.

The director of the concert, Miae Park,  is the organist and choir director at The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

The concert which last about an hour, is free and open to the public.  Attendees will be encouraged to make a free will offering which will be donated to Family Promise of Monmouth County.  The organization is an affiliate of National Family Promise.  They work with community agencies, faith-based services, churches and synagogues to provide shelter, food, transportation and supportive services for homeless families.  Family Promise of Monmouth County usually accommodates 3 to 5 families or a maximum  of 14 people per day.  The network consists of a Day Center  and 10 host congregations.  Each year Family Promise provides roughly 10,220 meals and 5,110 bed-nights for families in need.

This is the 6th annual benefit concert at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church..  In the previous five benefit concerts the free will offerings have been contributed to various relief  funds such as the Japanese Tsunami relief fund, the fund to build wells in Africa, and to local food pantries here in the Monmouth County area.
