GOOD SHEPHERD CHILDREN PRESENT “BRAND NEW” CHRISTMAS PLAY
The children of Good Shepherd did it again! Sharon Oberkehr, head of Christian Education, wrote and directed a brand new version of the traditional Christmas play. Costuming, roles, and positioning were perfected with assistance from Karen Rajala, Andy Mathisen, and parents. The eleven children enjoyed their multiple roles, costume changes, and "clowning around" through 4 or 5 Sunday rehearsals. Pastor Jack provided the "golden ear" to fine tune audio quality with proper placement of the microphone which enabled the actors to “tell their story loud and clear”. Andy described the first rehearsal as "sketchy", and observed Sharon fretting and “nervous” with her newborn play. But the Christmas play quickly came together on December 18 during Good Shepherd worship.
Karen Rajala said "This is a keeper- and we intend to repeat again in 12 months".
